The Three Leading Scorers in Portland Trail Blazers' History


Devon Berry is an experienced registered nurse and administrator who recently concluded a four-year stint as executive associate dean at the Oregon Health & Science University's School of Nursing. Beyond his professional pursuits, Devon Berry is a fan of the National Basketball Association's (NBA) Portland Trail Blazers.

The Trail Blazers are in its 50th season in the NBA and have made the playoffs 35 times and won one championship. Seven different players have scored at least 10,000 points with the team since its inception in the league in the 1970-71 season. Below are its three leaders in that category:

1. Clyde Drexler - A member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, Drexler played 12 seasons in Portland from 1983 to 1995 and accumulated 18,040 points. The 10-time All-Star played four seasons in Houston before retiring in 1998.

2. Damian Lillard - Selected sixth overall by Portland in the 2012 NBA Draft, Lillard is in his eighth season with the Trail Blazers and, as of March 3, 2020, had 14,503 points. The 2012-13 Rookie of the Year has averaged at least 20 points per game in the past seven seasons and is a five-time All-Star.

3. LaMarcus Aldridge - A seven-time All-Star, Aldridge accumulated 12,562 points in 607 games with the Trail Blazers through nine seasons. The 34 year old is now in his fifth season with the San Antonio Spurs.
